Amit Sinha

Head of Operations

Amit is a veteran in the education segment and has held key management roles during his 20-year career. He has worked with leading education companies such as Aptech, NIIT and Zee education, where he led initiatives to build large networks of franchisee operations. He has an accomplished career track known for delivering sustaining revenues & profits in education & training, hospitality industry. His previous assignment was as the Director for a reputed brand, which involved setting up a large international franchisee network in the hospitality education sector based out of Dubai.

Ramesh Duraikannan

Head of Sales

Ramesh is responsible for sales, new school acquisition, new market identification and expansion. He has over 20 years of experience in the education industry and has worked with organizations such as NIIT, SSI and General Optics (Asia) limited.

In his previous assignment as Group Manager at Techno Brain, Ramesh was responsible for training in Africa.

He studied at TVS Lakshmi Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Madurai) and went on to acquire a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering (Madurai).

Sharbari Purkayastha

Head of Products

With 19 years of experience in the corporate and academic fields, Sharbari combines a deep understanding of corporate training, education, organizational development and change to support the business goals of learning institutions and schools.

Her areas of expertise include new product development, education entrepreneurship, employability enhancement, and the blend of technology and human interface in the process of effective learning. Sharbari has a Masters degree in design from the prestigious St. Martins School of Design, London.

Amitava Banerjee

Head of Marketing

Amitava has spent over 15 years in various marketing and communication roles with organizations in the telecom, IT and education management sectors. Prior to joining Rumi, he spent over 5 years consulting with clients from aviation, FMCG, retail, lifestyle, hospitality, healthcare and education.

Amitava is an alumnus of the prestigious St. Xavier’s College, holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Narsee Monjee and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from IGNOU.

Sampath Kumar Samudrala

Head of Human Resources

Sampath is in charge of Talent Management at Rumi. Prior to taking up this assignment, he was associated with ING Life’s training department, and mentored several ING sales leaders. He drives people development through organic as well as inorganic means. Sampath is also involved with building Rumi’s brand internally. He has done a Bachelor’s degree in Science, and also holds additional qualifications in Law and Personnel Management.

Usha Paliath

Head of Finance

Usha has over 11 years of experience with companies like Airtel, MTV Networks (now Network 18), L&T and Reckitt Benckiser. Her expertise spans financial analysis, budgeting, MIS and strategic analysis. She has done her Bachelors in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur.
